| Kibbutz Ketura |
Kibbutz Ketura ,
a growing, thriving community, is located 50 kilometers north of
Eilat
in the Arava Rift valley, a uniquely tranquil region
of Israel. Kibbutz Movement statistics show Ketura’s membership
to be the most highly educated Kibbutz population in the country,
and the number of members with advanced degrees is continually
growing.
We have applied our communal brain power to such projects as an algae
farm for the industrial production of astaxanthin, Israel’s
largest and most experienced mariculture company Ardag, a veterinary
clinic, a seminar center, a university-level environmental program,
and technical writing and Web services. Many of us work outside Ketura
as teachers, bookkeepers, social workers, and laboratory technicians
